Plaxico, Plaxico, Plaxico

Well, what more can be said. He went into a club with a loaded gun, and shot himself. If someone had made up the story, you would called them nuts. But he did it, and now he’s off the team, and who knows what his future will be. Maybe jail, maybe he will play again for the Giants next year, (I doubt it) maybe he will play for another team. Who knows? There are so many questions here: Why did he feel he had to carry around a loaded gun? Why did he go into a NYC club with a loaded gun? Why and how did he get let into a club with a loaded gun? Why did he shoot himself? Why did no one call the police when the gun went off? Why did he go back home (to New Jersey!) after he shot himself in the leg?  How involved was Antonio Pierce in the whole thing? It just goes on and on. Just unbelievable!!However, what feel is being missed is the fact that the NY Giants are 11-1. They are the Super Bowl Champs, and have been playing with all the confidence in the world. I just hope this fiasco does not derail what they have done so far, or slow them down. Before last Fri. I was thinking, who is going to beat this team? They have just been kicking ass!Lets see what what happens on Sun against the Eagles, and we can start talking about X’s and O’s again.

Eli Manning, leave him be.

Well, Sundays Giants game against the Vikings was not a very good one for Giants or Eli Manning. After reading the paper and listening to the local sports radio, you would think Manning should be hung. I don’t feel this is true. Sure Eli had a bad game, but so did the rest of the team. They were also missing their 2 starting running backs Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward. They were both out with injuries.  This put all the pressure on Eli. Also, on the first play on the game, the Giants kicking off, the ball went out of bounds, and they were off sides. I knew right there that it was going to be a bad day for the Giants.

Did Eli have a bad day? Yes. Should he be hung out to dry? No, not just yet. Lets give him another chance to right the ship .Maybe the coaching staff should do a better job.
